Restaurant of the week: Pelegrini
Tucked away in a recently renovated stone storehouse overlooking St. James Cathedral, Pelegrini might just offer the best dinner views in Sibenik. But that’s not all: Pelegrini’s menu also aims to please. Your tastebuds will delight in the flavors of chef Rudolf Stefan’s unexpected dishes, like tuna sausage with lentils, as well as expertly prepared basics such as tomato soup and spaghetti with tomato sauce. Make sure to save room for some olive oil or lavender ice cream or the “country glass,” a summery concoction of olive oil mousse, melon jam, and almond biscuits.
A Good Restaurants selection and the recipient of a number of rave reviews from satisfied patrons, Pelegrini is especially busy during the summer, so it’s a good idea to make reservations. Ask for a table on the front steps for a gorgeous view of the cathedral, or in the quiet courtyard for a more intimate meal. For more information, check out Pelegrini’s listing in our restaurant guide.
