Croatian cities are ‘happy’ too, Pharrell!

Pharrell Williams and his catchy song ‘Happy’ are firmly present on world’s musical top lists. In addition to being loved by critics and audiences alike, the song also initiated a rather unique global movement.

It all started when Pharrell’s team launched a website entitled “24 hours of Happy”, featuring a version of the song lasting for a whole day, and having celebrity cameo appearances  including Magic Johnson, Jamie Foxx and many more. After a while, fans of the song made their own music videos of it (however, not lasting for 24 hours) usually attributing it to their native city. Croatia joined these ranks, and here you can see their share in this global phenomenon.

Split is a city known for its large Diocletian palace, the narrow street of Pusti me proc and beautiful promenade simply called Riva. And it is happy:

Dubrovnik doesn’t need any special introduction. Its famous ramparts are one of the sights you need to see during your visit in Croatia, as well as Church of Sveti Vlaho and Orsula Park.  Dubrovnik is happy too:

The city of Cakovec is known as the settlement of Croatian nobility and traditional carnival. See its happy video here:

Osijek is considered to be a heart of Slavonia, with a large aquatic park of Copacabana:

Rijeka is also under happy fever. It is a coastal city where torpedoes were invented, and has a rather interesting motion on daily basis:

Vela Luka is a town on the island of Korcula, whose residents are known for their warrior dance Moreska . But their happiness has nothing to do with war:
